This work, where you can find traces of the search for different models for the education of gifted and talented students by Turkish education pioneers during the transition period from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey, is one of the first studies on the education of elites in England. The research penned by Mustafa Şekip Tunç while he was a psychology professor at Istanbul Darülfünunu consists of 4 chapters. This research, published in 1919 in Tedrisat Mecmuası, was originally published using the Ottoman alphabet of that period. In this work, Mustafa Şekip Tunç’s entire research on the education of elites in England has been transcribed from the Ottoman alphabet to the new Turkish alphabet. Additionally, a comprehensive bibliography including a detailed biography of Mustafa Şekip Tunç and all his accessible works, listing dozens of books and over five hundred articles, has been added. It was a pleasant memory that the book was published while I was in Portugal for the 20th World Council for Gifted and Talented Children World Conference. I hope this work, which is one of the most interesting researches in Turkish education history, will be useful to those working in the field of gifted and talented individuals, all educators, and researchers.Erol KÖMÜR, Lisbon, 2025.
